“⭐ My 3-Year Experience at Ball Park Storage, San Diego I rented a unit at Ball Park Storage for three years — and honestly, it turned out to be one of the worst choices I’ve made for storage. My happiest day was the day I moved out. If you decide to rent here, choose a ground-floor unit. The lock on the interior entry door has been broken for months, allowing access from the street. While I never personally had a problem, it doesn’t feel secure. Access hours are extremely limited — 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. only. For a while, the staff was often late opening, though that has improved recently. The office is chronically understaffed, and it’s difficult to reach anyone because they’re usually somewhere else in the building. My unit was on the 4th floor, and the elevator situation is a nightmare. Only one small elevator is working for hundreds of units. The freight elevator has been permanently shut down — parts “not available.” A manager even told me it’s too expensive to repair, despite what they tell customers. Climbing four flights of stairs with boxes became a regular ordeal. There are very few parking spaces, which makes loading and unloading frustrating. Prices are high and constantly increasing. I found a larger, cleaner space in Chula Vista for $65 less per month. The management turnover is extreme — more than five managers in three years. Most of them were kind people who just didn’t stay long. Unfortunately, the property is often dirty, I’ve seen cockroaches, and the restroom is poorly maintained. Many of the tenants are transient or homeless individuals renting small overpriced bins, which changes the atmosphere of the place. Overall, Ball Park Storage is overpriced, poorly maintained, and inconvenient. I would not recommend it to anyone who values safety, accessibility, or consistency..”
