I've been renting a storage unit here for a little over 2years now and I have no complaints about Brokaw Self Storage as of yet. I have rented from other storage places but there is just something about Brokaw storage that makes you feel more at peace where your belongings are. Plus it is well secured and the other people renting units here seem to be friendly. But the best thing I would say is the fact that you can talk to the Manager about any questions you may have no matter how bizarre they may seem and she will answer every question and talk you through if you need help. She is very warm open and friendly. It's her professional organizational skills with her natural ability of helping others that makes this place so special. Managers at other facilities are often rude and you feel like there rushing to get you out the door they don't take the time to ask you about concerns or questions you may have, they don't make you feel like you even would want to ask them anything. The whole atmosphere here at Brokaw is great and the prices are very low compared to other places. Oh, and did I mention the hours gate hours 6am til 10pm. Now what other facility has hour's like these. None.....
So I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a storage unit to go online and look at any specials they have that are online only deals because you wouldn't want to miss those deals. After book a unit and come down and meet the manager your self. Her name is Kat, and I'm sure you will like her and Brokaw Storage. Come see for yourself why this facility has good reviews. There the BEST !!

I had a great experience with staff there! I forget his name but he was very helpful and made renting a storage there very pleasant. I dont agree with the insurance cost although I was informed I have other options. I would recommend this place to others.

I was managing my deceased parent's storage unit and it took some time for me to get access to the unit, due to California laws and what not. I was still paying for the unit monthly, even though having no access to it. When I finally was able to have access to it (after 6+ months), there was some hiccups on the day of. If you need to talk to someone, make sure to schedule an appointment and note that sometimes they are walking around the complex, so you'll have to wait a little bit.
The complex is fairly clean, they provide plenty of dollies and have elevators (in case you get a unit on the second floor) and there's a decent amount of parking spaces. If you're wondering about security, they have a security gate that requires you to enter your code to enter the facility and to exit. There's also plenty of cameras on site. Also want to mention that the unit was a 5X10 and they just raised the monthly fee to $115. It was $105 in 2020, $110 in early 2021 and as of September they would have charged me $115.

Cat Lane the manager of this storage unit went above and beyond in renting a unit to me. She was extremely thorough in explaining everything to me as well as showing me how to access my unit and how the lock works. She answered all my questions and concerns thoroughly with patience as well as telling me what type of boxes/covers and moving tools that the Self Storage offers. I have rented storage units from different storage companies in the past and by far Cat Lane helped me through the process calmly and stress free. Thank you Cat Lane for your kind assistance.

I rented a storage unit here from December 2018 to January 2021. No issues, no complaints. All the units are alarmed, and I didn't have any security of theft issues. My reason for renting the unit was to store items we'd shipped from our larger home in Singapore, and once we moved to a larger apartment here in the Bay Area, we no longer needed storage space.

The customer service agent that called to confirm my reservation gave the wrong office hours. However, once I arrived to store my things, the person on site was very helpful. She walked me to my unit and insured I knew how to access the unit.

I am very pleased with the storage rental process at Brokaw. I made a reservation online and instantly received a text confirmation. The day of my rental the paperwork process was seamless and efficient. The on site staff (Cat) was friendly and professional. The unit and the location was very clean. Competitively priced units and excellently secured facility always felt safe keeping my stuff here. Best thing about it were the extended hours (6 am - 10 pm), definitely longer than most Public Storage places in the area. Manager Cat was really professional, kind, and helpful. A+

Love this place -
1. Management - Cat is great she is very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. She takes pride in her work and the safety and appearance of the facility. She knows almost all of the tenants by know and greets them as she takes her maintenance and inspection walks through the facility.
2. Hours - 6 am to 10 pm is awesome access to my storage. I haven't found any other storage place with these hours with the exception of one 24 hr place
3. Prices- very reasonable and online there are always specials that will help you get into a storage unit that will fit your needs for minimal up front cash out of your pocket.
3. Facility - clean well kept with dollies always available and easy elevator access.
All around best value and storage is brokaw self storage

Front desk staff is amazing; above and beyond in friendliness and was very accommodating.. the place itself is clean.. only suggestion I would recommend is better lighting at night.. parking lot is supper dark and you have to use a flashlight to see the keypad.

I went with my daughter to check out Brokaw Storage to see if they had what she needed. They did. She had been to several different places and found that she liked this one. The manager Cat was excellent. She helped my daughter figure out what size would suit her needs the best. None of the other places she had gone to were that helpful. She was very friendly & professional. Thank you for taking care of my daughter and for not trying to sell her more than she needed.

Excellent Customer Service and warm and friendly atmosphere is how to describe Brokaw Self Storage. But what makes it that way is the nice lady who works up front, Kat. She's the best! Outstanding! Open until 10 (you must be out by 10 because the gates auto-lock) while most places are closed at 7 or so, very clean, well-run, very convenient being between 880 and 101, always have carts to cart your stuff to your unit, very nice locks and they give you 3 keys. and lastly, affordable. I thought the real estate run-up would have run up storage prices, and they've gone up a bit, but they had an unusually-shaped unit that was fine for my needs and at a killer price. I believe they allow some RV storage in back; I didn't see any RVs in back yesterday, but I've seen them in the past. Very professionally-run, none of the "downmarket" vibe some of these places have.
